All done.

I've seen a few of the interior stories and I have to say, they are looking great! This book is going to be awesome!

I was going to post the color flats but that felt like too much of a tease, plus I still have much more to do to the cover before I'm done. So I will refrain from posting too much clutter here and keep it to the good stuff!
This is where the cover stands right now, I'd say 3/4 of the way done. All that's left is the background sky, paper texture and last minute color and lighting tweaks for atmosphere. I hope to have it finished by Monday. Next post will be the finished piece!

I changed the design of the nun slightly at the last moment, I wanted to make her a bit more surreal to go along with the plethora of odd sculls. At the moment the color flats are done and I'm half way through fleshing out the tones, adding highlights and shadows etc. Plenty left to do.

These are the final roughs for the cover to the new DC Conspiracy anthology The Horrors of War. I thought you all might like to see it as it evolves. I am going to do a few posts over the next few days (or weeks) as I finish the cover illustration, starting with the roughs then going to inks, color flats, finished colors. I hope ya'll like it.
