On June 9th and 10th, I went down with my friend Tim Daniels to Raleigh, North Carolina, home of Red Hat, one of the most well-known Linux vendors. There, with some of Red Hat's more artistic employees, we taught a group of about 50 9th graders how we make comics using open source software such as Inkscape. The event was called Red Hat High, and you can read more about it at Red Hat Magazine. The highlight of our two days at the event was giving our Creating Comics in Inkscape presentation, modified for the younger audience.
