Tales from the District

Photobucket

Over at the website Brightest Young Things my buddy Jason and I have been doing a webcomic called Tales from the District. I try a bunch of different styles so click and check it out.

The basic premise is that you send in a story about a crazy, interesting, weird or exciting thing that has happened to you in the DC area. Jason writes it into a script and I turn it into a one page comic (sometimes two). Then you revel in your fame.

We are calling out for stories.
So if you have a story you want turned into a comic, write Jason at...

See ya in the funny papers (or funny web, I guess that is more appropriate)

March 19th is the 5th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. Now is the time to take to the streets and add your voice to thousands of others. United for Peace and Justice will be holding a massive day of rallies, creative non-violent action, and civil disobedience, throughout Washington, taking on the Pillars of War. (www.5yearstoomany.org)

As part of the day Peace Action and the Student Peace Action Network will "Make War Bad for Business" in the K Street corridor. Peace Action activists will converge on the offices of war profiteers and take direct action to disrupt business as usual using nonviolent civil resistance, protest, street theatre and satire to send a clear message to the corporations that perpetuate and profit from this illegal and immoral war. D.C. MEET-Up:
WHEN: 7:30 am or 11 am
