Fancy Meeting You Here...

I subscribe to POSTCARD COLLECTOR - this newsprint style magazine about, well, collecting postcards. Makes sense, I'm publishing an anthology about antique postcards and all.

Anyway, got my most recent edition in the mail and found an interesting ad from a comic book legend. Can you spot him?

seeing that is like finding something you didn't know you'd lost. Rick Geary posting an ad like that is also more proof that this damn profession is hard no matter how damn respected and sought-after you are....

Interesting...I have always been a fan of Santa's Christmas cards, but I never knew he made postcards as well.

Too bad everyone else thought you were talking about this Geary fellow.

I think he's been doing this postcard thing for years.
If you check out his website he's got a bunch of them up there and they look great.

Mike's quite the joker.

I kind of agree with Evan, Deb. I mean, yes, Geary should be doing more comics (assuming he wants to) but he has been doing this postcard thing for quite some time and the ads in that magazine are about 12 bucks (I'll be advertising POSTCARDS in there, or hopefully run a feature if I can work something out with the editor, I don't think that cheapens my book).

I'm sure he doesn't charge five-bucks a card, I'm sure he gets some decent money off of it - is this any different than those little five/ten dollar pieces Scott Mills sells on EBay?

Just extra income, I'd think.

Of course you mean Jack Kamin, right? (heh-heh.)
