Teachin' comics

Carol and I visited a local elementary school last week and got to teach the kiddies about making comics. In fact, fellow conspirator Steve Loya, an art teacher at the school, invited us. He wrote this nifty article about it on his blog, which also contains images of his amazing and inspiring artwork.

That's so cool, Matt! I'm joining one of our comic artist friends from Albuquerque next week to do much the same thing! Any advice? I'm a little nervous...

Carol did an awesome little lesson plan that I could e-mail to you, if you want. I also have a lesson plan from an English teacher in Canada who developed a curriculum around "Mr. Big" (art, English, science) that I can also send along. It's really well done! (All this over a mean snapping turtle!)

I think you'll have a blast! Remember to take photos!
