Crazy Papers
Since Danielle Corsetto occasionally drops comments on the Yahoo group and Jim Dougan is a DC local I think I should express my love for Crazy Papers to the comic/DC blog community.
I picked it up at NYCC where it premiered and read through it recently - just a wonderful little slice-of-life tale about moving on and taking chances. Jim's loosely-based-on-a-true-story is moving and humorous, taking us around-and-about Georgetown with characters we see every time we go to Whitlow's (sorry, Arlington guy - don't venture into the city too often). Danielle's art is wonderful (as usual) and plays well to Jim's light on the surface yet subtext-heavy story.
Just a well put together book, support some fellow DC folks and go get yourself a copy. I was at Big Planet in Georgetown this past weekend and it was prominently displayed and pushed on me, I'm sure you'll have no problem finding it if you live in the area. If you don't you can pick it up over here.
