Wraparound Cover

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I did a wraparound silkscreen cover for Rap Sheet #124, the newsletter of the Small Press Syndicate. I used a silver Sharpie to color the crown and disco shoes (you can't really tell by this scanned image, though) and I also added a few sparkly star stickers. Acrylic paint for the red eyes.

very nice work Matt. Nice big striking images. I love the king skeleton on the back. Reminds me of a scene in "Saving Private Ryan" where a soldier on the beach at D-day is searching for his severed arm. Excellent job!

Matt, I saw this the other day when you posted it up at Wasp Whispers, and I've been meaning to tell you that it's freaking cool as sh*t, man!

If giving up Rawboned means you'll keep posting stuff like this, go for it! :)

Very cool, very creative. Gotta love a skeleton sportin' disco kickers. Who is doing the Dremo 2 cover anyway?

I'm glad y'all dig it! It was quite a bit of work but a lot of fun.

Monica, I'll probably post a bunch of old and new sketches at the blog, along with projects in the works, since I've discontined Rawboned. Steve suggested a "Best of Rawboned" at the blog, which I think is a great idea, so look for that on ocassion, too.

Steve, "Eerie" Evan Keeling is doing the cover for Dr. Dremo #2.
