Free Elk's Run

Newsarama posted the entire first issue of Elk's Run (one of the books I edit) for free and if you haven't read it yet, now's a good time. The Bumper Edition is soliciting now through Speakeasy reprinting issues 1-3 with a new Darwyn Cooke cover, an intro by Steve Niles, Noel's original sketches, a piece on the coloring process from Keating, a Datsun Tran cover gallery and a piece I wrote on going from plot to final page. And for an extra special bonus, and to quiet the people that always ask me what an editor does, I'm going to let you all see the Plot to Page piece, laid out by our fantastic letterer Jason Hanley. Enjoy!

I still want free copies of issues #1 and 2. #3 is just sitting in my house unread because I was stupid and didn't get the first two. When is the collected edition coming out????

I didn't know you needed 1 and 2.

One's online now. The collected edition of 1-3 is coming out in October, I think. You should of emailed me when I was sending out review copies.

That's okay - I'm getting the collected edition, so I can wait. I'm looking forward to it.

Hopefully, the bumper'll be out even sooner. We're shooting for Mid-September. ;)
